We are all part of nature

At a time when the media and politicians make us feel rushed to build an abundance of everything, we should demand that we are not trading our future for a few trinkets. Nature has the ability to provides us with all that we need, it is up to us to self-arrest our desires and avoid taking more that necessary.  That is my measure of good governance.

Slow down buddy!

Because Utah is actively engaged in accelerating growth, it has undermined the long term safety, health, and prosperity of our communities. Like an athlete using steroids, the benefits are short lived while the costs last a lifetime.   Our state has already slashed critical licensing regulations and downgraded the intent of the residential code.

For this reason, I am committed to remain vigilant and prevent further erosion to safety codes and re-established those critical ones that have been removed, so that workers, consumers, and the public in general are not only made to feel safe - they are in fact SAFE in Utah.

Save our canyons

The future of the Cottonwood Canyons depends on decisions we make today.  First, we cannot save the Great Salt Lake if we do not care about the Wasatch mountains. For this reason, it is important that do more than simply balance visitation with preservation. We need to make sure the essential qualities that makes these places special are retained for the benefit of future generations.
