Accountable Leadership for District 41

Hello Neighbors!

I’m Eric Kraan, and I’m running to succeed CH Mayor Gay Lynn Bennion as your HD 41 representative.

As a long-time roadway safety, land use reform, and community advocate, with an academic background in Sustainable Economic Development and Systems Dynamics, I am equipped with the skillsets to navigate bureaucracy and advocate for policies that will promote our state's safety, health and prosperity.

I’m committed to work with fellow democrats and stakeholders to achieve these community goals:

  • ROADWAY SAFETY: Hold UDOT accountable and help our community stop the Gondola boondoggle.
  • SAVE THE GREAT SALT LAKE: I will continue Rep. Bennion’s efforts to improve environmental protections and protect Utah’s natural wonders.
  • LAND USE REFORM: Amend Chapter X of the state code to allow municipal governments meet the needs of their communities.
  • AFFORDABILITY: Re-introduce Rep. Bennion’s bill and stop housing speculators from pricing families out of buying their home.
  • LGBTQ+ RIGHTS:  Guarantee access for transgender students to participate in schools’ athletic activities.
  • HEALTH CARE: Free universal child care.
  • WOMEN'S RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS: This topic is extensive, so let's start by making sure Rep. Carol Spackman Moss’s initiative to incorporate sexual violence behavior prevention into public schools curriculums becomes law.
  • EDUCATION: Support reduction of classroom sizes, and reverse school closures.

You & I - let's make a difference!

Together, we can build a brighter future for District 41 & Utah. Your voice matters, and I am here to listen and advocate for our needs. Let's work together to ensure our community thrives.
